S.C. Wilson began as an actor, and that training never left. It shapes how he works with performers, how he builds a room, and why collaboration sits at the centre of everything he makes.
His practice resists easy categorisation. Narrative, documentary, live cinema, he moves between them not out of restlessness but out of a genuine belief that form should follow the idea, not the other way around. His debut feature Miles Away, which he wrote, directed, edited and produced, was picked up by Pivot Pictures. His documentary A Thousand Miles to Get Your Head Straight was produced and released jointly by GoPro and Stab Surf in 2024.
In recent years his focus has shifted toward live cinema, a format he has been instrumental in developing. Productions like In the Shadow It Waits (Raindance, MIFF) and Echo No Resonance treat the screen not as a fixed object but as something alive, contingent, made in the room. He is drawn to devised processes, ensemble thinking, and work that couldn't have been made by one person alone.

"Strategy, systems, and growth, engineered for creative work that needs to land."
Tim Young is a strategic growth partner and consultant to SCW Films. Through his practice TYC, Tim has worked with 50+ clients across 20+ industries, building operational systems, AI-driven tooling, and go-to-market strategy that take ideas from concept to market in 90 days or less.
SCW × TYC collaborate on select client projects where creative ambition meets commercial complexity. SCW leads the film, the story, the craft. TYC structures the engagement, the systems, and the strategy behind it, so the work doesn't just get made, it lands with the audience and outcomes the client needs.
The partnership exists for clients who want both sides of the table: a director who treats every frame as if it's the last, and an operator who makes sure the project moves, ships, and pays back.
